Fight for the white jersey (best Under-25 rider) is as determined in the 2012 Tour de France as the battle for yellow jersey. Rein Taaramäe was wearing the coveted jersey the 8th July, at the finish of this year’s first mountain stage. However he was expecting a tough race within the remaining two weeks, because of his opponent’s determination: Tejay Van Garderen (BMC), Thibaut Pinot (FDJ-Bigmat) who won the stage in Porrentruy, etc.
