Question by Frank: How much is this Eddy Merckx bike worth?
I want to buy this bike its a Eddy Merckx road bike titaniumex frame campagnolo brakes and Chainring. Eubios handle bars. Bike is in pretty good shape.

Just wondering how much is it worth.

As much as you’ll pay for it.

It aparrently is rare to find one with a straight frame, making them both less desirable as riders and as collection stuffers. In multiple forums it is said that the EX is less likely to be out of true than an AX. I would pay up to $ 350 for the compinents, if the derailers, shifters and back hub also are campagnolo. If the frame were to be certified straight by a reputable builder, I may pay up to $ 700. The tubing and welding technology hadn’t yet come around to be even close to what it has been for the last five years for Ti.

Just spent the afternoon at the Team Wedgewood press conference for their cancer fundraiser. Eddy and Axel (to the left) in attendance. Got to inquire a number of concerns for the press conference.
