Question by joe shmoe: where can i get a list of this years tour de france teams and riders on each team?

Best answer:

Answer by Ben A
Teams are fixed. Here’s the list:

France: AG2R, Agritubel (Continental Pro), Bouygues Telecom, Cofidis, Credit Agricole, Francaise des Jeux

Spain: Caisse d’Epargne, Euskaltel, Saunier Duval

Germany: Gerolsteiner, Milram

Belgium: Quick Step, Silence

United States: High Road, Slipstream (Continental Pro)

Italy: Lampre, Liquigas

Denmark: CSC

Great Britain: Barloworld (Continental Pro)

The Netherlands: Rabobank

Not certain if the rosters are all fixed. Maybe others can help with lists of riders on each team.

Question by tommartella1: with radio shack and leopard trek merging in 2012. the team will be cosidered a european team. why?
radio shack being the main sponsor and being an american company also trek is also an american company. why would they license the team in europe and do there upcoming training in january in europe? I will still root for the new radio shack team but think it should be an american based team. levi leipheimer got screwed in this deal, being left out of radio shack.

Answer by Oh hai thar
To be technical, they are not ‘Merging’

Radioshack as a team is ending, and their sponsors are moving to Leopard Trek, which is based out of Luxembourg.

Also, Levi Leipheimer was going to move to Quickstep either way. Not to mention, if he stayed, he’d have been even more screwed. There is no way he would want to ride in support of the Schlecks, and why would you want them to ride for him? One need only review the results of the last 3 TDFs to see why. He doesn’t hold a candle to those boys from Luxembourg. Plus, Leipheimer is getting old. Not everyone can be Jens Voigt and avoid aging.
